A VERY MERRY UN-THANKSGIVING

No turkey?  Gluten-free?  Chocolate truffle tart for dessert? Blasphemy!  Someone better call the Thanksgiving police!  Growing up, I became accustomed to a traditional, gourmet Thanksgiving.  I can still smell the chestnuts roasting that went into the stuffing.  Everything was made from scratch.  My job was always the cranberry sauce and radish roses (don't ask) when I was a child and then eventually grew to be the pumpkin pies as well.  In the last few years, I've become less of a turkey fan, am now gluten-free, and since my husband doesn't like pumpkin, have been making a chocolate truffle tart for dessert.  Here are all the recipes you need for a scrumptious untraditional feast!  To make the chocolate truffle tart sans gluten, check out this easy recipe that can be made with any type of gluten-free cookie.  Buen Provecho!

JUICED

I absolutely love fresh-pressed juice.  Drinking a tall glass of green juice just feels so satisfying and revitalizing.  I make my juices as often as I can, but when I'm out and about, my go-to is The Juice Shop.  My favorite green juice to make at home is inspired by their Bright Green, containing kale, cucumber, ginger, apple, pineapple, and lemon.  Inspired to try your hand at juicing?  Check out the recipes below and this guide to the best juicing essentials. More into blending your greens?  Check out the Kale, Peach and Coconut smoothie instead.  Can't quite palate a full glass of veggies?  Try a quick energizing shot of wheatgrass, but start it off with a lick of cinnamon and chase it with a wedge of orange - you won't believe how smooth it goes down!
