DUSTED

I'm obsessed with Pari Ehsan's ethereal blog Pari Dust.  You might recall I featured one of her impeccable images back in this post.  Inspired by art and architecture, Pari juxtaposes her ever so fashionable self with cutting-edge modern art.  Sometimes blending into paintings with complementary colors and textures, other times boldly popping in opposition, she never ceases to excite and amaze.

DAIQUIRI ICE

I was a huge fan of daiquiri ice cream growing up.  It was light and crisp and just the right amount of sweet and citrus, the color of an Alaskan glacier- frosty green-blue.  Looking back, it probably isn't the best idea to peddle imitation rum to droves of children, but hey it was the early 90's and nobody knew any better I suppose.  Lately I've been seeing this icy color pop up in everything from homes to paint to fashion and jewelry.  It is at once cutting-edge and timeless, and lends a cool crispness to whatever it graces.
