#FLOWERSFRIDAY

Happy #flowersfriday everyone!  (Yes, it's a thing now.)  Fresh-cut flowers bring me so much joy and brighten up my stark white home.  While peonies are my #1 bloom, I tend to prefer more uncommon varieties to classics like roses (I can't stand roses!).  I love orchids, pincushion proteas, Billy balls, anemones, stargazer lilies, hydrangea, artichokes, dahlias, brassica, mini pineapples, and succulents to name a few.  I also love to add something fragrant like tuberose into my arrangements and float gardenias in little bowls around the house, which makes you feel like you're on an exotic vacation.  While I take a lot of pride and enjoyment in handcrafting my arrangements, I understand that some of you don't have the patience for such a thing and would rather purchase something pre-made.  I tend to find pre-fab arrangements under-inspired or just plain ugly, however there are a few great online vendors that are upping the bud game with gorgeous arrangements that don't come with baby's breath.

ENSEMBLE TO ABODE: COTTON CANDY

When I saw Poppy Delevingne's cotton candy confection of a sweatshirt on The Coveteur, I thought it would make a great inspiration for a nursery. However, when I came upon this sophisticated pastel interior by SJB Interiors that embodied the look, I realized just how grown-up these hues could be.  Powder blue plays off pale pink against a neutral backdrop and the painting brings it all together.  Shop the look with these sweet pieces that won't send you to the dentist!
