SETTING A MODERN THANKSGIVING TABLESCAPE

We all know that food is the star of Thanksgiving, but what excites me the most is designing the tablescape.  No tacky turkey knickknacks here, just beautiful fresh produce, bright fall blooms, and moody accents of black, brass, and horn.  Pheasant feathers add a touch of whimsy and a nod to our forefathers.  Hit up the farmer’s market for autumnal fruits and vegetables that can grace the table now and be consumed later.  Go warm with persimmons, pomegranates, and cabbage or cool with artichokes, pears, and gourds.  Add in jewel-tone flowers from your local florist (Studio Choo is my favorite) and light some candles for the finishing touch.

MEXICAN FLAIR

I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Sayulita and am feeling rested and rejuvenated.  It is such a unique, eclectic town and I'm drawn to its bold tropical colors and modern Mexican flavor.  I had so much fun browsing the boutiques and bazaars, especially Revolucion del SueΓ±o, the coolest shop in town.  Want to incorporate this exotic beachy vibe into your own home?  Check out my picks below and say olΓ©!
