Today I'm 32 and since I'm jonesing for some birthday cake, I thought I'd start off the day with a tour of The Cake - the coolest pastry shop in Kiev. Designed by 2B.Group, this modern cafe features a cool white backdrop juxtaposed with bold colors and graphic design features. Center stage is a giant hot pink Koons-like balloon dog (that respectfully states "only looks like a Koons dog but is not"). The tables are surrounded by tufted wing chairs while geometric wire chandeliers loom overhead. The candy-colored bathrooms are also notable. Each one features a shocking punch of monochromatic color sure to boost any mood. I'll blow out a candle to that!
