SETTING A MODERN THANKSGIVING TABLESCAPE

We all know that food is the star of Thanksgiving, but what excites me the most is designing the tablescape.  No tacky turkey knickknacks here, just beautiful fresh produce, bright fall blooms, and moody accents of black, brass, and horn.  Pheasant feathers add a touch of whimsy and a nod to our forefathers.  Hit up the farmerโ€™s market for autumnal fruits and vegetables that can grace the table now and be consumed later.  Go warm with persimmons, pomegranates, and cabbage or cool with artichokes, pears, and gourds.  Add in jewel-tone flowers from your local florist (Studio Choo is my favorite) and light some candles for the finishing touch.
